Areola Restoration is a procedure that uses pigments, to create an illusion of nipple protrusion with a realistic areola on a breast without additional surgery.
Areola Restoration gives women and men, areola(s) after breast surgery, recreating symmetrical and naturally colored nipples, minimizing scars and restores a more natural shape, as well as, giving the client the choice of color, size and shape, of the areola. This procedure is often considered the last step after major breast related surgeries including: mastectomies, breast reduction, breast reconstruction, and breast implants. This procedure is also beneficial to clients who simply have irregular or fading areolas, those who prefer larger areolas following breast augmentation, as well as transgender patients. Such surgeries often result in imperfections in the areola or a complete removal of the nipple. Saline Tattoo Removal (Non-Laser)
Saline tattoo removal involves tattooing a specialized saline solution over your existing tattoo. The solution lifts the existing pigment molecules from the skin by the process of osmosis. A scab will form, which further lifts the previously placed pigment. The number of sessions needed ranges on average from 6-12 and depends on the saturation and size of your tattoo, ink used, ink depth, age of the tattoo, etc. The removal of unwanted ink whether it be an old tattoo or permanent makeup is hard work for the technician and the client. Saline is more effective than laser for many reasons:

~ Great for Sensitive Skin
~ Ink is lifted up and out through the skin instead, of absorbed into the body
~ Saline removes all ink colors, where as, laser can only breakdown certain colors
~ Saline Removal does not remove hair, where as, laser eliminates hair and it doesn't always grow back
~ Severely less painful than laser, with only some slight bruising or bleeding. Laser can cause redness, swelling, and even blisters, scarring and hyper-pigmentation (uneven skin tone, causing dark spots).

My name is Jessica and I am the owner and founder of The Tattoo Nurse. I graduated with my LPN in 2010. I later became a stay at home mom for a few years and knew I wanted to get back to work and do something different in the medical field.
I came across Areola Restoration for breast cancer survivors and knew I had found my calling. After having family and friends with breast cancer, the areola restoration really spoke to me and has really become such a passion.
